Conductors :
PVC Insulated Cable conductor are stranded, high conductivity plain annealed copper
wires meeting the requirements of the class in BS 6360 and IEC 228 specifications for
"Conductors in insulated cables with solid copper conductors are offered up to 2.5

Insulation:
PVC insulated power cable The insulation of standard wiring cables is PVC grade
Type T1 1 of Bs 7655 Formerly BS 6746) suitable for a maximum continous conductor
operating temperature of 70C. Where specifically required, wiring cables can be
offered with heat resistance PVC insulated grade. Type 5 (85 cType T1 3 (90 c). These
cables are identified by the grade of PVC.
Core Identification :
Unless specially agreed otherwise, insullation colours are in accordance with BS 6004
